[ubuntu] Installing an outdated package

I am trying to compile and install it on an old Macbook 1,1 running 12.04. To satisfy dependencies, I had to install another software called Ramp (it's a proteomics software).This package contains all .cpp files. Now, coming back to the original software: The readme told me to edit the Makefile to point to the ROOT directory of the dependencies (Ramp and GSL). I did that.
