I'm unable to use web-based java content due to my version being out of date.
Java version 7.6 just came out in the last couple of days. The link to Check your Java version is in my signature and it will probably say that you have the latest version if you have 7.5 installed.
I ame curenty configure the ps3 to run with loki render farm.
For that program to work correctly, i need blender installed and at least java 1.6.0.
I can install all correctly, exept java. What ever i do, i cant seem to get java to work.
I alreade did the following things:
I'm setting up Android Development Environment on my Macbook Air running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
I have installed JDK for mac by downloading from oracle website.
Then I run java -version which shows java version "1.7.0_13"
Then I downloaded ADT bundle for MAC from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Then I ran eclipse and it shows a install dialog to install java.
I just installed Fedora 17. I'm setting up the Android Build Environment and need Java.
I downloaded and installed jdk-6u32-linux-amd64.rpm I ran
java -version
and it spit out the correct version.
Well a day or two later i tried my first compile in Fedora 17 and it complained about java and failed.
So I downloaded the latest version of Java from Oracle so I could get a 64bit JVM on Ubuntu Server 10.10. After extracting the file and updating the alternatives I went to check my installation by running java -version and I get this error: -bash: /usr/bin/java: cannot execute binary file
I'm at a loss for what to do here.
Hi, I completly newer in Java and I need to run a program that requiere Java Virtual Machine,
It is doesn't installed by default in my F17 64-bit because when I run my program it show me that.
Code:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
So I folowed the instructions from http://www.java.com/e
system: suse 11.3 (32 bit), kde 4, ff 3.6.10.
scenario: my system is uptodate, and the java version installed (suse vendor) is older (1.6.18) then the version on the java site (1.6.21) http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp. so i downloaded from java site and installed the file. when i did run "java -version" i was getting the older version.
I'm trying to fix Java on my 11yr old son's laptop. He's got a moc pages account (lego, my own creations) and they have a new java photo uploader that quit working for him. I did all the install steps form the ubuntu website to get me on Java7, but the uploader isn't working. All I get is a message box stating "To use the new uploader, you'll need to install (or update) Java".
