I've been trying to tether my bb9630 and have been running into the following error:
$ sudo pppd call barry-sprint
Script /usr/sbin/chat -f /etc/chatscripts/barry-sprint.chat finished (pid 30373), status = 0x3
Connect script failed
Waiting for 1 child processes...
script /usr/sbin/pppob, pid 30372
sending SIGTERM to process 30372
I do not know what to replace in the barry-sprint chat file.
Hello,
I have been trying to use barry to use my blackberry modem.
When I run "sudo pppd call barry-att_cingular" the blackbery does it thing, displays a message on it that the modem is in use, then I see a message on my ubuntu based notebook that it got assigned an ip address..
It tells me the dns servers being used..
Pre-amble:
fresh install of 12.04; old evolution files available.
First question:
As Ubuntu seems to be abandoning Evolution, I assume they have a tool to import evolution files/folders into thunderbird. What is it called in the repos? And no, I'm not looking for the 'complicated' ways.
Second question:
Can one user use thunderbird as his/her email client and another user evolution?
Hello,
I am a complete newbie with OpenSuse so please bear with me here. I managed to download & install the wrong version of Evolution (version 2.29)its an unstable & incomplete release. I want to download & install 2.28 instead which is a stable version of the program.
I'm sure I had the google calendar type in evolution on opensuse 11.2, now I installed a fresh 11.3 and can't find the google calendar type when adding a calendar in evolution.
Am I missing something? is there something more I should install?
Actually, the main reason I use Evolution over Thunderbird is that I like its google calendar integration better then Thunderbird.
Hi Ubuntu Community:
I'm using Thunderbird and want to migrate to Evolution.
I want to migrate:My inbox,
My sent box, and
address book
I used Evolution until 6 months ago, and think it is superior to Thunderbird.

Can anybody tell me how to install and configure email server on debian step by step?
What I mean?
I have my own server with my dns. There are several sites on it. So I need:
1) Create emails for each domains, for example, admin@mydomain.com, admin@mydomain.net, admin@mydomain.org ... Where I can create them?
In the setup instructions for Ubuntu One with Thunderbird it reads:
Click on the checkbox next to "Directory Server" and select "Ubuntu One" from the pull down menu
Well, there is no Directory Server for U1 listed in my 11.10 install, what's missing? Does Thunderbird need re-installing? Or is it a U1 problem?
Thanks.
I've just bought a new desktop and installed Ubuntu 12.10 on it. My old desktop has Ubuntu 12.04 with Evolution as the mail client. As Evolution is no longer supported on 12.10 I'm trying to get my Inbox and Sent Items from Evolution onto my new computer such that Thunderbird can read them.
