I've just bought a new desktop and installed Ubuntu 12.10 on it. My old desktop has Ubuntu 12.04 with Evolution as the mail client. As Evolution is no longer supported on 12.10 I'm trying to get my Inbox and Sent Items from Evolution onto my new computer such that Thunderbird can read them.

Using the default mail app on my S3 I am not seeing a complete list of all my folders in my Rogers/Yahoo email address. I can see all the folders when I attach my Hotmail or Gmail accounts but not with my Rogers/Yahoo accounts.

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

In thunderbird I am having to click on the my emails in the Inbox, then All Mail, then the Important folders for each email. Is their any way to disable the All Mail and Important folders?

I have Ubuntu 12.04 and recently started using Thunderbird.

I have GMail account and have configured a lot of Labels in it, all of which appear as folders in Thunderbird.

The subject says it all. I would like to either share local mail folders between Thunderbird and Alpine mail client, or export a set of Thunderbird local mail folders that I can import into Alpine.

In Thunderbird there is an option to Manage Identities which you can tell Thunderbird to use more than one identity per mail account.

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 and the dropdown box for the default e-mail setting only has Thunderbird. I'd like to change that to Yahoo mail with Firefox.

Please advise.

Evolution accessing yahoo mail 36 weeks 2 days ago

I have been trying to get Evolution to access my Yahoo mail account but have not been able to achieve that . Instead I had to go over to Thunderbird . Can Evolution be used to access Yahoo and if so can I please have some thorough instructions as no matter what I tried it just has not worked for me . Running Fedora 17 Intel Pentium board 1 Gb ram and 64 bit

I have thunderbird installed in my 12.04 version. Whenever i forward any e-mail from my inbox it gets forwarded as a .eml attachment. How can i prevent this from happening, or alternatively how can i read .eml format files in mail???
