[ubuntu] I cannot access my NAS anymore

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have a Synology NAS with a "Windows" share configured. When I click "Browse Network" => "Windows Network" in Nautilus, all I get is: "Unable to mount location Failed to retrieve share list from server " Note: This has worked 100% fine before, and I HAVEN'T CHANGED ANYTHING. Any ideas? (Hardware)

Hi guysI installed gvfs-smb to access samba shares in Nautilus. Now there is an icon in the "Browse Network" section of Nautilus called "Windows Network". This link works sporadically. Sometimes I open it and no workgroups are present. Sometimes I'll see a workgroup but no shares are available.

I have ubuntu 12.04 installed at the moment, and it doesn't seem to be detecting my HTC Kaiser phone, which is running w****** professional 6. The funny thing is, when i plug it in via a USB port, its detected by the 'Network' icon on the top panel. So i decided to check out 'Browse Network' on Nautilus, and i see 'W******* Network'. It doesnt let me open that either.

I'm having trouble connecting to my dlink dns-321 nas drive. I had gotten it set up as a server and it was automounting at one point. I've moved and not tried accessing the drive for a few months and cannot connect to it now. It can still be accessed from my wife's mac laptop, so I know it is working.

Weird problem. When I use nautilus and try to "Browse Network" by opening shares on another computer in my network, I get an error message that Ubuntu "failed to retrieve share list from server."

However, if I open a terminal and type: nautilus smb//192.168.1.105, I can browse all the shares perfectly.

Can somone help me troubleshoot this?

I installed Fedora 17 including all updates. I need to browse the Windows network where I can access and/or view the available shares (folders and printers). I cannot browse the Windows computers on the network. When I open Files from the Favorites bar and click on Browse Network, I see the "Windows Network" icon.
