Hi Gang,
I have an older Toshiba laptop - a Satellite Pro 6100 - that I've just converted to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Everything seems to work just find except the wireless 802.11 connection.
My wired connection is working just fine.
I enable wireless in the network connections menu and I see a list of the local wireless networks.
Hi, I got a problem with my wireless network, the thing
is that i can get the cable to work but not the wireless network on my laptop.
I found this:

"This driver works well on Lucid.
Hey all, I'm new to Ubuntu and really like it so far, but the only problem I'm having is connecting to wifi.
Now I got tired of trying to just let it connect, so I connected a wired Ethernet cable and it works perfectly.
I have dual-booted my Vista HP Pavilion dv9000 with Ubuntu 9.10. The problem is it doesn't detect any wireless net. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that the wireless switch on the side of my computer seems to be deactivated, regardless of position. Wireless works fine in Vista.
I moved from 10.04 to 12.04 by clean install. Previously I've had to use additional drivers, but 12.04 seems to recognise my wireless card no problem. The card can see my home network. Wired networking is okay.
No matter how I configure the wifi network, 12.04 will not connect; keeps looping back to 'Authentication required by wireless network'.
I have a very weird problem. I am running ubuntu 12.04 (fully upgraded) and an HP pavilion dm4. I was able to connect to my home wireless network without a problem when installing and everything was running smoothly.
My University required the installation of the Cisco VPN openconnect software, and which worked without a problem.
Hello all,
I am newbie to ubuntu and I installed ubuntu 10.04 along with windows XP. I am using compaq 610 laptop and using NETGEAR for wireless connection.
I created a new wireless connection in Network Manager with the security key, but unfortunately it is not connected.
So I recently installed Ubuntu on my Acer Aspire V3-551 laptop. I have an Atheros AR5BWB222 wireless adapter.
Everything works fine except for the wireless. I can sometimes connect to the wireless, but most of the time it will be making an attempt to connect and then enver connect.
