I have an HP Deskjet All-in-one 3050A.
In Debian Testing I installed it through CUPS and the printer works fine. However I can't say the same about the scanner. I've tried install it using HPLIP, but it's the same.
Hello
I need a new printer. I hardly ever use it, so I just want a cheap all-in-one, with wireless capability. I don't need high speed or anything fancy.
And of course, it has to work with Ubuntu. It looks like an HP is the best bet in that department, so I went to the local big box store, bought an HP deskjet 3510, and tried to install it.
Ubuntu 11.10
HP Deskjet 2050 J510 3in1
HPLIP 3.11.7-1ubuntu3.1
Seems to be a common problem but I can't find the answer, printer & copier work but scanner has stopped working (although it does on different laptop running Ubuntu 12.04).
I have an HP Desktop 3050A that was working fine via hplip for about a day. It hasn't worked since and I'm entirely at a loss as to why. It seems to be a CUPS and/or hplip issue, since I can scan with it perfectly fine. However, when I try to print, I get an error, and printer state flips to 'Stopped - /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp failed'.I've tried removing
I am trying to setup up an HP Officejet G85xi printer through an Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive, so that the printer can be shared over the network without requiring that an attached computer be turned on to print. There is a place on the back of the Network Hard Drive to plug in the printer with USB.
hi,
Printer/scanner works great! Make sure you download driver from here:http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/install/index.html if your running 9.10 or below.I believe 10.04 has these drivers already installed.
I can not get my Ubuntu 11.10 system to recognize the scanner in my HP Photosmart 5510 multi-funtion printer. I have loaded the HPLIP extras from my terminal window and loaded the latest HPLIP. I have searched the web and all forums for any mention of Photosmart 5510 Ubuntu drivers with no success. I have Simple Scan, Skanlite, and XSane all installed.
After doing the upgrade my printer, hp deskjet 3930, stopped printing. It appears to print but nothing on the page. The options to troubleshoot it, print test and allignment, no longer available in the HP tool box. I know the cartridge is not empty for shortly before the problem I saw ink level in Tool box okay.
Did sudo hp-check -r
