I am running on Mac OS X, 10.8.2, Virtual Box. I have installed the guest addition and also the extension pack for USB.
I have already installed the linux driver for Realtek RTL8192CU, because that's the chip it uses.
When i run the lsusb command it recognizes it as Realtek.
I know that it is connected.
Hello. I've read a lot about wireless network cards but I haven't found something similiar to my problem. I've a belkin wireless card F5D7000tt and its driver bcmwl5.inf. I think I've correctly installed it because when I use "ndiswrapper -l" i get:
WARNING: all config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/ndiswrapper, it will be ignored in a future realease.
Hello,
Since I upgraded ubuntu to 12.04 and now 12.10 I'm having wireless problems from low speeds to random disconnects. I simply can't use wireless at all since it is really "twitchy". My laptop is a SAMSUNG R580 with a realtek 8192se 802.11 b/g/n wireless PCI card.
lspci -nn | grep 'Wireless'
Code:
03:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
I'm using a Compaq Presario CQ62, and I believe my wireless card is Realtek RTL8191SE 802.11 b/g/n Wifi
My current issue is that it drops connection all the time and has a hard time connecting at all in some areas. Windows works perfectly for wireless.
anyone have any idea why?

Hi all!
I'm having a tough time installing my wireless network card on Ubuntu. I have been following this how-to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/Ndiswrapper
I have installed ndiswrapper and ndisgtk.
I have a Sony Vaio with an intel Pro/wireless 2200BG (calexico2) card that is broken. In windows I disabled this card and installed a USB wireless device (Realtek 802.11n WLAN adapter) which makes wireless connection possible. I cannot get a wireless connection in LUBUNTU because the computer keeps on trying to connect through the original (broken) hardware.
well i did an update and i now can see my graphics card but i still cant see my sound card or my wireless card i think this is it im not sure but this might be my wireless device, Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Device 8172 (rev 10) now im just wondering how do i get ubuntu to read my devices what do i have to update. can anyone help?
connect though ethernet cable just not wireless)
I have Slackware(x32) 13.1 installed on my computer. Everything runs just fine except it doesn't seem my wireless card.
I looked around and found a driver on the Realtek website. But, after I installed it, linux wouldn't boot. It would just hang.
