When using custom Lotus 8.5.3 applications on Ubuntu 11.10, I'm finding that they don't display correctly.
I have tried everything I can think of to get this to work. Such as:xdg-mime default evolution.desktop x-scheme-handler/mailto
xdg-mime default evolution.desktop application/mbox
xdg-mime default evolution.desktop x-scheme-handler/mailtoI tried opening a shell and typing export DE=gnome
chromiumI also tried looking into the xdg-email script.
Usually after bugfixes on my Notes applications, we would often receive complaints that the applications were not sending notifications, not updating as expected, not able to access certain modules of the applications, etc...
Eventually, we found out that they were caused by the users clicking through when the Execution Security Alerts (ESA) popped up.
Dear All,
Please let know how to Install Lotus Notes 8.5.3 on Ubuntu 10.04.
Thanks in Advanced,
Sachin Dipke.
RPSystems seem to no longer exist, as does their utility antrid to change lotus domino unid's.
Whilst this is not a std admin question, this is a utility used by (almost) every Notes Administrator, hence my post here.
Anyone know where to find this great utility used by many Lotus Domino Admins?
A
It works, BUT it shoud be Lotus Notes 8.5.4 candidate 4 (avilable for selected cusomers and IBM'er only)
Code:
yum install libXp libgnomeprintui22 gnome-desktop
Code:
yum install libpng tcsh
it will install libpng 1.5 while Lotus Notes requires 1.2
run with --nodeps:
Code:
rpm --nodeps -i ibm_lotus_notes-8.5.4.i586.rpm notes854_SEAddon_linux_rpm_cd4_prod.rpm
do not install
If there is one thing I am absolutely sick to death of, it is the pathetic rantings of die-hard Lotus Notes fanboys about how technically superior their product is, and how everyone else who isn't drinking the IBM kool-aid are somehow "biased" and don't understand Notes' obvious superiority.
Hi all,
I've problem with Lotus Notes 8.5.1 on openSuse 11.3 (i586) - when trying to save any attachemt LotusNotes crashes, i.e. it displays ,,NSCD is running" and after that it close the application.
It was working perfectly under openSuse 11.2.
Anyone having similiar issue?
Furniture giant Steinhoff Asia Pacific is replacing Lotus Notes with 1050 seats of Microsoft’s Business Online Productivity Suite which it will access as a cloud service via Telstra’s T-Suite starting in May.
