[ubuntu] How can I change master key in KeePassX?

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello everyone, I am using KeePassX on Ubuntu 12.04, and I think it is an excellent program. I have a small question - can I change my master key to a more complicated one? When I started using the program, I chose a simple one that is easy to guess. Of course I could start a new base with a new password and copy-paste everything there but it is a lot of manual work. Thank you in advance for any ideas! (Hardware)

I am looking for a password manager tool which is cross platform (linux & windows). I have found keepass. I have started evaluating it under windows in the version 2, and I find it very good.

Now step 2 was to see how it works under linux (suse 11.x to be precise).

At this stage I have realized that there are 2 possibilities.

In a master-slave replication environment, what is required to automatically promote the slave as the master if the master goes down. What are common practice used to change the database reference from an application if the heartbeat of the master database is not detected?

Do I need a cluster to achieve this or is simple 2 machine environment sufficient?

How can I set the volume keys and sound indicator to change only the master volume? Now when i change the volume from 0 to 100%, using the keyboard or the sound indicator, first I change the PCM level (master remains at ~0%) and then the master level (PCM remains at ~80%) and then the PCM level again for a bit, resulting in a non linear volume increase.
