http://ubuntuforums.org – I downloaded the source package of gnu-gcc4.7.1 and want to install the gcc/g++ compilers in my ubuntu8.0.4. if I type ./configure; make; from a terminal, it will compile all of compilers, such as java,fortran,...compilers. However, I am only interested in gcc/g++ compilers only. How can I do that for it ? one more question: I don't want to install the new one compiler to overwrite the current one, how can I do it so that I can switch the compiler between the new one and the current one ? Thank you very much !!! (Hardware)
