I am running Ubuntu 11.10 64bit within Vmware Workstation 7 with Windows 7 64bit as host. I followed the following tutorial:
http://only4geeks.net/?p=37 in order to install the Netgear WPN111 wireless dongle. All the steps seemed to succeed and the dongle blue led flashes as normal however the dongle is not listed under the networks in the toolbar.
I installed Ubuntu 9.10 on my desktop computer yesterday and I followed this guide to install the drivers for my WPN111 Netgear Wireless adapter. When I was finished following the guide the adapter light was blinking and I was able to connect to the internet just fine.
Hi guys, I've been trying to figure out how to get wifi from my Netgear WNA3100 USB adapter on ubuntu 13.04. I've read countless posts but it's really hard to digest as I'm a new linux user so I was wondering if someone could walk me through this step by step.
I'm trying to setup or install barry on ubuntu 12.04 laptop to be able to sync my blackberry to thunderbird or evolution as I would to do on windows, but I'm struggling to do so. I really need a step by step way to setup or install barry so that I can sync my barry to thunderbird or evolution 100% and proper.
I just stumbled my way through an installation of Ubuntu 13.04, but cannot get my netgear wireless lan adapter to work. it is recognized by the computer, and uses a Ralink RT3573 chipset, i used the lsusb command to find out. I downloaded a driver, but I don't know how to compile it.
anyway, issue #1.
I have windows 7 and Ubuntu installed as dual operating systems. Grub pops up on startup and the default is Ubuntu. My family uses the same PC, so I'd like to make the default system loaded to be windows.
I found some info on how to rearrange it but it confused me seriously.
How can I go about changing the boot order in grub?
