Hi,
I have Asus Vivobook S550CM, after I login to ubuntu everything works fine, but after a while of using PC I cannot perform 1 finger touch-to-click action on touchscreen.
When I touch the screen the mouse cursor appears in the position where I touched the screen, but it doesn't click.
Hello guys and girls of Fedoraforum.org!
I'm new to this whole linux thing, but slowly getting everything figured out. After a few days i got my laptop working pretty much good, got the battery problem fixed, and everything works properly.
Everything but my damn touchpad. For some reason Fedora recognizes the touchpad as a "PS/2 Generic wheel mouse" .
I have an Acer 3810T. One of the biggest problems is that the touchpad goes berserk unless I am essentially flipping the ceiling off while I use it. When I am using it, if another finger gets within about a quarter of an inch, the mouse cursor bounces all over the screen, clicking random things, highlighting text etc.
Hello,
I have just upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 (Gateway NV53u Laptop), with no problems except that I have lost the ability to scroll with my touchpad on my laptop.
Running xinput list shows that there is a PS/2 Mouse and AlpsPS/2 ALPS Glidepoint. Also, going through the Mouse and Pointer Device options, I see touchpad options, which I can fiddle with, but have no visible change.
When typing in Ubuntu my cursor jumps around and its not application specific. It doesn't matter or Im filing in a web form, writing an e-mail or using LibreOffice or Lyx. Im using a Sony Vaio 64bit machine.
i read a previous question (link below) on this subject which indicates it may have something to do with the touchpad settings.
Hi,I recently installed Statler to my new laptop, a Gateway LT3119u. It all seems to work well, with the exception of the touchpad. I have been able to boot into openbox with a properly working touchpad only once.
Hi,In the past I have been using #!
hello to all
Running Ubuntu 11.10, 32 bit on a vista-era sony vaio.
Besides all of the crappy graphics and web cam issues I had to solve, the laptop worked great. But for the last week, the touchpad either:
1. does not work
2. dies suddenly and doesn't let me move around without a usb mouse.
3 (most common/annoying).
