[ubuntu] Help setting up email server

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi all, I am looking for any assistance I can get with my project. I have registered a domain (costguy.com) with Dyn and signed up for dyn dns standard since my charter account is dynamic. I am wanting to install postfix/dovecot/squirrelmail to go along with apache. Are there any simple guides to do thi? I have looked and gotten samba, webmin, and apache functional but can't figure out the email portion. If I need to give anymore info, I would be glad to and thanks for any help. (Hardware)

I need some help again with the mail server setup. I have managed to get the server to send email from the website, but I would like to setup some mail accounts to receive mail too.

I am attempting to set up an email server using Postfix and Dovecot. Both services are starting fine, but when I log into Squirrelmail to send a test email it won't send, and the response from server error is blank. I tried setting up Thunderbird for the test account, and Thunderbird could not detect the server settings, so I tried to put them in manually, and it still wouldn't work.

I am having an issue with one of my Postfix/Dovecot mail servers and I'm unsure how to fix the problem. I will try to explain it in detail, here it goes:

I am wanting to setup an email server using exim4 and Dovecot.

I currently have 2 servers which i use for NFS, Squid cache amongst other things (debian and ubuntu).

I cannot seem to locate any good guides (except for german) to explain how to configure exim4 to deliver to virtual mailboxes and have Dovecot use virtual users/mailboxs and provide this via pop3/imap.
