Tested on Karmic Clarification This tablet is a re-branded UC-Logic Genius MousePen; it's set by Trust to be wide (16:9) and some "function buttons" on the border which work only with software interpreter from Trust software (available only for Windows...
I want to run Ubuntu on a "tablet PC" laptop. Can anyone direct me to collected information about using "tablet PC"?
A large part of the problem space is typical distro on laptop stuff.
However, the "tablet PC" introduces several knots into the X11 input device, X11 output device, hardware buttons, and events tangle.
I bought a Trust Flex (Waltop rebranded) tablet not long ago, and set it up to use with natty on my laptop. I installed the wizardpen driver and, apart from being unable to use the second pen button, the tablet worked fine. Then a few days ago the pen stopped moving when hovering above the tablet; ie, you have to touch pen to tablet to move.

Hi
Complete Linux novice here :newbie:
I've installed Hardy Heron onto my mac and loved it so far (apart from flash player probs!! I'm now considering putting Ubuntu on my daughters IBM Thinkpad 2653 laptop as an alternative to windows 2000. It has a Pentium 4 1.6 ghz cpu, a 40G HD and 510 mb of RAM. The graphics card is an Ati mobilty radeon 7500.
I'm looking for some experienced eyes to scan through the partition info of a CyberNav tablet that I've mucked up by being very stupid. The CyberNav is a cheap Chinese GPS/Android tablet. It works great, or rather worked great until I very stupidly left it attached to my computer after downloading a track of my latest dirtbiking exploits.
By default, Ubuntu Hardy Heron already equipped with a tool to take screenshot. You can access this tool from Applications | Accesories | Take Screenshot. But, this tool on Hardy heron does not support screenshot taking using rectangle select. But this lack of feature is already fixed on the next Ubuntu release.
I have an old Wacom CTE-440 and Bamboo Fun tablets.
I've tried installing the driver for them, file name "xf86-input-wacom-0.17.0", yet I don't know how to successfully get it to work.
