Hi,
I downloaded and installed OpenSUSE 11.2 but only screen I see is console, SUSE won't even open.
I assume that is an error of graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650) or Processor (Intel Centrino 2)
The error says that there is niether internet connection nor a driver for graphics card.
I have an acer Travelmate 5520 with this graphics card in it. My problem is that i cant get it to function properly. I have installed the latest ati drivers for linux from ati's website but everything connected to the graphics seems to lag a whole lot. Compiz fusion and desktop graphics is very slow and laggy. I also tried to play some windows games through wine but they also lag a whole lot.
Basically I have a problem In that my computer doesn't recognise I have a graphics card. When I turn it on it says I need to run in low graphics mode but won't go beyond that. Now I can access s terminal of sorts and think I have mostly fixed it however I need to install my graphics driver and I don't know how. The card is an intel mobile gm965 integrated.
when I go under System Settings>Details>Graphics
It says graphics driver unknown.
I have a dell laptop that has intel 3000 graphics as well as a Nvidia Ge force GT 525M 525M graphics card.
What Can I do to fix this? I tried downloading a driver and installing it but it didn't go well.

ive tried installing envy to find a new driver, it installs but it does not show up in my system>administration menu!
any suggestions on how i can improve the quality of my graphics card?
I am using a Radeon HD 5750 Graphics card
Hi, I hope I'm OK posting this here, since it's really a question about hardware and not Ubuntu.
I'm traveling in Vietnam, and my laptop has developed a serious graphics problem. Basically, anything involving hi-res graphics freezes the computer, but I can still boot in text-only mode and everything works fine.
So it would seem to be the graphics card, right?
Hey , I have ubuntu installed on my iMac model 8,1 and it randomly goes to sleep, sometimes when it gets out of sleep mode the screen goes light blue but you can still see the desktop apps and everything and it doesn't go back to normal untill I restart my computer. So my question is, is this because my graphics card isn't supperted.
Finished installing Ubuntu 10.10 in my XPS15, intel i5 4g ram, nvidia GT 420M graphics card,
problem is when i go to additional drivers, the driver listed (Nvidia accelerated graphics) when I install it and reboot it the computer starts on the terminal, no graphic interface.
hello all,
I'm unable currently to get some Steam games that worked on my previous system to work for me now. I have an ATI card and it's taken me a while to get it to work. However I can get Enemy Territory (Wolfenstein) to work so I think I have my graphics driver working properly.
