Recent Notifications Indicator or Indicator Notifications captures and displays all desktop notifications you receive through notification daemon.
It is pretty useful tool if you want to track all your notifications.
This simple tutorial is going to show you an indicator applet which collects recent messages sent with libnotify to a notification daemon and displays recent notifications in system tray area.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 and I noticed that now notifications of events, such as an instant messenger contact signing in, are being represented by a mail/envelope icon which remains in the systray notification area until I click on it and clear all of the notifications.
Hey there everyone. I'm a brand new Android user, and the thing that gets me most are notifications. Is there any way, or any application, or any post-root method, to remove notifications altogether?
I can't just go into each app and "turn off" notifications, as some apps do not allow their notifications to be turned off (such as the mail app provided by my carrier, au/KDDI).
Hi everyone,
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 with Unity and I have linked Thunderbird to my Gmail account. When I receive an email I don't get any notifications in the messaging menu. I have heard that the small white envelope turns blue or green when a new email has arrived, but not for me.
I am wondering if anybody is using the default or gmail as a sole client. Also, does anybody know how to disable one or the other so that you only get notifications from one of them. For instance, when I get a email I get 2 notifications. One for the default and one for gmail.
Since moving to the Droid from the iPhone, one of my few disappointments has been notifications. If I miss a call, email, sms, have a voicemail, etc, I either get no notification or only sometimes get a notification. I could find no setting anywhere on the stock droid to change that in any way. I could be ******ed.
If I pull down my Notifications bar, there's an option to disable Notifications.
I'm looking for some way to code this into an NFC tag. NFC Task Launcher doesn't seem to have an option to turn Notifications off - it lets you change the notifications ring tone, volume or LED light, but not actually disable them.
Any ideas?
