I have a laptop of fujitsu siemens lifebook series with centrino duo 1.6 ghz processor and 2 GB ram and 20 GB hard drive so can I install ubunto 12.04 on this machine, plus I have two non encryptable drives showing on its My Computer and i want to remove them so do I have to remove them during installation, if yes, then how?
I just installed Slackware 13.37 + KDE on a quite old Fujitsu Siemens desktop PC. Graphic card is Intel 82845G. RAM is only 512 MB. Just now I had a display bug. After launching a CPU-intensive operation, the desktop went into "pixel soup" mode and I had to reboot using the power button (not completely frozen though).
Just installed fresh copy of ubuntu 9.10 on my Fujitsu siemens T4210 Taplet PC. At first the taplet-pen did work perfectly, but not this time at this reboot. Havent changed anything, the only thing i have done is installed wine. I have googled and did my best to find information, but i find it confusing and i'm not sure what to do.
I have been Using Ubuntu 9.04 on a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2727 and I recently performed a fresh install with 9.10. When I use the "sudo modprobe acerhk" command to turn the wireless on, it says "FATAL: Module acerhk not found." I'm lost and finally realising this Fn+1 software for the wireless is a real pain.
I'm new to ubuntu and i've been having this question since the day i installed Ubuntu. Does ubuntu come along with the necessary drivers for my Nvidia 640M graphic card? Also , My computer was overheating a few months back and i found out that the problem was with the Nvidia Optimus thing so i had to use Bumblebee and disable the graphic card.
