Adobe's Flash download page is displaying a message:
NOTE: Adobe Flash Player 11.2 will be the last version to target Linux
as a supported platform. Adobe will continue to provide security
backports to Flash Player 11.2 for Linux.
What is the plans for Flash support in the future?
With a bit of luck HTML5 media support will drop website developer's dependency on Flash.
Hello
Been having problems with flash, and I really need some help.
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall in yast
no luck. uninistalled again.
I downloaded and installed Adobe Flash 10 rpm direct from adobe.
I shut down firefox and then restarted...went to youtube....
no luck. I get the annoying error:
I have tried the instructions on the page http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-google-chrome.html#m... to turn flash player on and I have restarted my browser and it still gives me this error. How do I get around this error?
I was checking the Adobe web site to see if I had the latest version. As I was looking at
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
I see the message that
Flash Player 11.2 is the last supported Flash Player version for Linux. Adobe will continue to provide security updates.
There are versions 11.4 for Mac and windows.
Is Adobe trying to force us to go back to windows?

Hi,
Need your help. I am new to openSUSE and have this problem:
Everytime I attempt to play a video from any website it does not play.
Error from CNN:
" This ...is optimized for Flash player....Install flash player"
Error from youtube:
I just installed Fed 18 a few days ago. Now I just installed flash player. I need that to run the 'draw Chinese characters' part of nciku.com
I read on the adobe webpage that they will no longer support Linux in newer versions. Does that mean I won't be able to use any web pages needing flash player when they move to a newer version of the player?????
I am not real hi-tech with computers and I don't know if I will understand the solution you may give me, but I will try.
I received an e-mail from a friend the other day that had a site to view a movie clip. This time when I clicked on the site a message came up that I needed a new version of Adobe Flash-player plug-in. So I went to a free site to load the latest flash=player for Linux.
Proprietary plugins can’t be included in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by default (due to some licensing incompatibilities with Adobe flash player or mp3 codecs).
