Okay I know this is probably going to be difficult to answer so I'm hoping somebody as seen this. I'm running Fedora 16 64-bit using KDE. Firefox 11 and 12 crash frequently, about every minute to two minutes. Even if I'm not using it and it's just open, it crashes. I uninstalled it and deleted all profile data for it, reinstalled, and it still does it.
My OP is here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2051275
I found nothing in my Firefox setting that would cause it to crash and I never got a crash report from Firefox to send. During the time all these crashes/freezes occurred I was running the Cinnamon Desktop. I went back to Unity and everything runs smooth.
Everytime I try to go to Facebook.com, Google Chrome will crash. What I mean by crash is that Google Chrome will just close. I try opening Google Chrome again and going back to Facebook.com and it'll kill Google Chrome again! Why is this happening? Is this a bug? By the way, Facebook.com works fine on Firefox!
My hard drive on my old PC is full up. It's not a big hard drive so I have to be very selective about what I keep. This is not the first time this happens, but Firefox keeps ALL unsubmitted crash reports, as .dmp and .extra files. In my disk utility, Firefox pending crash reports take up about 13GB.
I'm running an up-to-date version of Ubuntu 12.04 which has been rock solid until two days ago when Firefox began crashing on a frequent, apparently random basis. By "crash," I mean that Firefox would close abruptly and the Mozilla dialog box sending a crash report to Mozilla would pop up.
My computer (win7) crashes and freezes when running youtube vids on Firefox and Chrome. And will just crash with use on Firefox now. The youtube crashing occurrs a few minutes into a video on firefox and chrome.
I have installed Ubuntu for the first time on my Asus k55n, and it fails sometimes to boot up to the normal login screen, it usually just is purple and has dots, Steam games crash as soon as I boot them, the sound icon on the top right has the speaker with --- coming out of it, and no options when I click on it...
