WinFF is a GUI for the command line video converter, FFMPEG. It will convert most any video file that FFmpeg will convert. WinFF does multiple files in multiple formats at one time.
You can for example convert mpeg's, flv's, and mov's, all into avi's all at once.
I did install ffmpeg with winff, unsuccessfully when I try converting avi to x264, it says I don't have it. When I try to convert mp4 to Xvid I get unknown encoder 'libxvid'. It's like nothing really works except avi Msi compatible using winff, anybody help?
I have talked a lot about various capabilities of FFmpeg over the past few months. But if you are not comfortable with command line and wish for a graphical media converter then Winff is the right tool for you.
Hi everyone!!I have a problem with both Tragtor and Winff. None of them works. The second just gives me errors and the first, when I select a file to transform, I can't choose neither video or audio codecs; just these options available: none, streamcopy, jpeg200 and jpegls .
just wondering if any is having trouble with fedora 17 kde and ffmpeg.Winff can't get it to run braseo goes into a loop at 54 megs .the only program that will get it to work is bombono and that gives the incorrect size on the disk.It states it will be 4.2 gigs but when complete the files total 1.2 gigs.I'm guessing it's ffmpeg and it presets. Its what all the fronts have in common.I'm running fedo
Hello all again! I was looking for video converter and stumbled upon WinFF. So I installed it, but when I launch it, I getrgnr@ajax:~$ winff
[WARNING] Out of OEM specific VK codes, changing to unassigned
[WARNING] Out of unassigned VK codes, assigning $FFThe GUI launches ok. But I cannot find many codecs for conversion. Like, there's only wmv for web and wmv2 available.
So, after trying out winff, the graphical frontend for ffmpeg, I kept looking for more such tools and found the "Transmageddon Transcoder". Perhaps the name was inspired from Armageddon .
I'm using winff to convert an av as a dvd I set the bitrate to 4851k but the resulting file has a bitrate that is less then half of that.
