i have two 2.1 speaker . both of them is connected to back jackpot but sound is only coming from one 2.1 speaker. in windows with the help of realteck audio driver, sound is coming from both speakers ,my doubt is this is there any software like realteck in ubuntu ??
Well, as the title says, my subwoofer and central audio are swapped. I tried, as a post said, to mannualy modify the audio channels, In /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/default.conf.
I made a sound test, but subwoofer played center's audio and viceversa.
Please Help! I need somebody!, but not just anybody!

It seems 5.1 surround sound on Ubuntu 9.10 either does work or it doesn't end of story. Mine doesn't! I have trawled the universe for help and nothing works. I have an external usb 5.1 sound card made by Trust (thats what it says in the base speaker) I have no other info on this. Hello, I am using an Asus motherboard M2N68-AM PLUS. This motherboard supports 5.1 channel audio but there are only 3 pins at the back pannel and the channel output is selected by the drivers in windows for example when in windows I select 2.1 channel audio the pin configuration becomes

Well I installed Ubuntu a couple of days ago and, first I had no audio, but solved it with Alsa-mixer. Now I play the sound test, I try with center and plays it with subwoofer, and viceversa.
I saw somewhere that with this command (gksu gedit /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/default.conf) I can swap the channels editing the text.
