I'm looking for a way to have a bootable USB that launches Linux and has all my files and programs like it was when i used it on the last computer.
I have run into a few problems just installing Linux on a

Hello everybody,
I have a problem. I couldn't mount my ubuntu partition, my windows partition is working ok.
I get this problem even in recovery mode, even with older versions of Ubuntu that are still in the Grub menu (latest is Maverick). I ran the default repair of the Boot Repair, to no avail.
This is what comes up on boot:
Code:
...[sdb] Add. Sense: Unrecovered read error - auto real locate failed
...mount: mounting /dev/disk/bu-uuid/d818....
I get this problem even in recovery mode, even with older versions of Ubuntu that are still in the Grub menu. I ran the default repair of the Boot Disk Repair (as recommended in this question), to no avail. This Pastebin shows my configuration.
How can I get my Ubuntu to boot?
...[sdb] Add. Sense: Unrecovered read error - auto real locate failed
...mount: mounting /dev/disk/bu-uuid/d818....
I have tried and tried and tried and finally tired of doing this.
