I get the following error while running the executable for an application: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.14: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

The file libmysqlclient.so is in /usr/lib/mysql. I can't figure out why this file cannot be located suddenly. I had executed the application several times before.

After reinstalling pulseaudio, and latter ubuntu-desktop to the latest version there is no sound in Ubuntu 12.04
