Hiya. I'm currently running Bodhi Linux 2.0.0 on an old EeePC. I've recently performed all updates, and this seems to have pulled in the latest E17 packages. Fantastic! However, I'm having a volume issue I didn't have before.
Each reboot sees the volume resetting to zero. I've tried alsamixer, sudo alsamixer, alsactl store etc.
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
I am having an issue with the audio, the microphone volume in particular; every time I reboot the machine the volume resets back to maybe 5%, all other volume settings remain saved. When logging out and then back in, the volume is saved for the mic...
Hi,
I just got an old Trust surround USB Headset to work on Ubuntu 11.10.
However, the volume controls are bugged. Touching a slider in the taskbar or banshee in any way (even sliding it to the lower end) would set the volume to about 5000%. This usually causes me to jank the headset right off my head.
There is no gradient whatsoever in the slider.
I have Lenovo X200s and I have been using Ubuntu on it for several years now, it is running Ubuntu 12.04 since it was released in April 2012.
Everything was fine until a week or so ago volume buttons stopped working correctly.
I think that this error appeared after I ran updates for Precise, but I am not sure.
I recently installed a clean copy of 12.04. So far everything has worked reasonably well, but I have a problem with the volume. Unless I have the volume at 1/4, or above I don't get any sound. Above that the sound control is quite precise, but If I want the volume to be any lower (which I often do), I have to adjust the volume on the individual application I am using.
Hey all,When i try to adjust the volume, my sound is completely silent until about 3/4 the way through the volume slider. In that upper 1/4 of the volume slider, there is only coarse adjustment from very quiet to max volume.I know it's an arch/linux issue, because it doesn't happen in Windows on the same machine, and it was there before I reinstalled from scratch last week (not for
Hi all.I recently switched to Crunchbang (from Mint) and am having sound issues. My sound suddenly stops working - in a middle of mp3 listening, youtube or watching a movie. And restarting an application usually doesn't help. Sometimes it starts working again, sometimes not. Also, volume bar in top right corner of my desktop doesn't have any effect on the actual volume.
Somtimes some sound/movie/music on my Ubuntu_12.04 system is at a very low volume by itself.
Henceforth I increase the volume of the sound output. I can use the following setting (see screenshot)
It seems therefore that pulseaudio is able to increase the volume beyond the maximum that appears possible by merely using the "increase-volume" buttons of the machine.
Hi all,
This is my first post :-)
Before logging in, I am able to adjust the volume. However once logged in, it does not work.
