First post..go easy :)
I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 as a dual boot with my Windows 7. I was using the Grub Customizer to mess with the Grub menu. I changed the resolution of the grub menu using Grub Customizer from 1900x1080x8 (or 16) to 1900x1080x24. Upon reboot I can no longer see my Grub menu. I can hit up/down arrow and select the OS by guessing.
I have a dual-boot WIn 7/Precise system. I made a mistake with grub-customizer and now at the grub boot menu I can't see any of the Linux entries, just the Win 7 one. What would be the easiest way to boot Linux so I can run grub-customizer again?
I can install grub-customizer with the Ubuntu LiveCD, but it asks for a root partition and I don't see one listed.

Hi,
I was running low on space, so used
Code:
sudo apt-get remove linux-image-3.2.0-2*
It remove all the older 3.2.0-2* kernels, but it also removed all entries for 3.2.0-3* kernels from the GRUB menu!
Now, I have no selection in the GRUB menu to boot into my linux installation!
Grub Customizer is a graphical interface to configure the GRUB2/BURG settings and menu entries

hi
i tried running grub-customizer in terminal and it gives me an error:
grub-customizer: /build/buildd/grub-customizer-2.5.7.1/src/model/grublistCfg.cpp:454: bool GrublistCfg::compare(const GrublistCfg&) const: Assertion `piter->dataSource != __null' failed.

i installed it sometime ago, and set it up to boot an iso from the menu list in grub everything works good no probl
I recently upgraded from Fedora 15 to 16 via the desktop dvd. Now the grub menu includes old entries from Fedora 15 kernels, even though they no longer exist. I tried commenting out all Fedora 15 kernels from "menu.lst", and checked "grub.conf" as well. The FC15 kernels still appear in the grub boot menu though. Does anyone know where is I may look to get rid of these entries?
Hey, everyone. I currently have a dual-boot setup with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04
Whenever I start my computer after booting windows previously I'm presented with a different GRUB than usual. I recently downloaded and installed linux kernel 3.6.0 and made some changes to GRUB using GRUB customizer. So I have been doing some tweaking with those files.
My grub menu went through rather extensive changes after the last update. It started booting to my old 12.04 entry by default. Where this gets confusing is that there is no longer a 12.10 entry in grub.cfg.
I installed and tried the grub-cfg as mentioned in How do I change the grub boot order?
I have many different Ubuntu versions installed on my HD. I'd like to rename some of their entries in GRUB2 boot menu. I have tried two approaches.
1) Like mentioned in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1347756
- This is not working, I have 9 different lines with SDA11 sections visible in my 30_os-prober file.
