I have a Gateway notebook and installed Vista on it (successfully), but cannot get my new Ubuntu 10.4 installation to connect with the internet wirelessly. I can get a list of routers (on the triangular button) and it tries its hardest to connect, but without result. The "Additional Drivers" installed with the Ubuntu 10.4 system -- located in "Applications" -- is corrupted so is of no help.

I guessed one of three possible email addresses and created an Ubuntu One account.
Hello again, well someway or another my wireless problem was fixed back in July, but I still cannot connect to the internet wirelessly. Every time I try to get on Firefox on Ubuntu 10.04(Lucid Lynx) 32-bit. My laptop simply won't connect even though I have a physical wireless connection. Is there something that I am not doing correctly to establish the connection to Firefox?
My laptop has Windows 7 and connects fine when connected via an Ethernet cable to a router and my mobile works fine connected wirelessly. But, when I try to connect my laptop wirelessly, it does not connect and shows following messages: windows was unable to connect to this network!

I have a 4 year old HP DV2000 series laptop that I installed Ubuntu 12.04 on yesterday. All seems well - I am able to get on the internet as long as I'm wired. The laptop worked wirelessly as a Windows machine, but does not show the option of wireless on Ubuntu.
