I am completely new to Ubuntu, so please give me easy to follow steps.
So, I have just installed Ubuntu 10.10 x64, but cant get my wireless to work.
I have performed a WUBI installation of 12.04 on my HP G62 laptop, which has an Atheros AR9285 wireless chipset. Everything works fine with my wired network connection.
However, wireless is unable to connect to my wifi network. I enter the WPA2 key and then it attempts to connect, but eventually comes back, asking for the WPA2 key again, as if it was not good.
The wireless works fine with all the other wi-fi nets I have tried, the only problem is with this hidden network.
Good day all! I hope you are doing good. I have performed a WUBI installation of 12.04 on my HP G62 laptop, which has an Atheros AR9285 wireless chipset. Everything works fine with my wired network connection. However, wireless is unable to connect to my wifi network.
I am running Fedora 13 and using Ndiswrapper with my pci wireless card. my router is a netgear wgr614v9 wireless router with wpa2-psk. When I try to connect to my network the only options I see for security are dynamic WEP (802.1x) and WPA &WPA2 Enterprise and for authentication all I see is TLS LEAP Tunneled TLS and Protected EAP (PEAP).
Hi, I need desparate help regarding my wireless connection problem. I cannot connect to my university's wireless network which uses WEP802.1X security.
Hello! I am brand new to Ubuntu and so glad to be out from under the crushing weight of Windows! I am very excited to learn about this OS, but I need some help. When I try to connect to wireless networks with a WPA2 encryption by right-clicking and entering the network information, NetworkManager tries to connect, but never quite makes it, and asks me for the password again.
I'm trying to connect to a new network with Ubuntu 12.04 and fluxbox, and I'm not sure how to get it working. In the fluxbox menu there aren't any wlan-tools or network-manager, and since I'm not on the network I can't install any additional programs like wlan_radar.
Is there a terminal way to do network scans and connect with a WPA2 password?
Ubuntu 13.04
I'm not able to connect to my campus internet which uses WPA/WPA2 Enterprise security with PEAP and MSCHAPv2. I'm able to connect with the same user ID and password in Windows, so incorrect ID/pass is not an issue.
When I try to connect, network manager log shows that authentication times-out after 3 tries.
