I am using Gnome 3.8.4 under Debian Jessie and i manually installed Eclipse.
I use Eclipse for ARM development so i wanted to change the icon of Eclipse.
In /usr/share/applications/ i created a .desktop file:
Comment=Eclipse IDE for eStick2 development
About a year ago, I first installed Eclipse for Android app development, but shortly later decided not to pursue this. Now I am using Eclipse for Java and C++ programming, but Eclipse reminds me with two to four warning boxes (like this: http://imgur.com/lkRNusy) that I am missing the Android SDK every time I launch it.
An annual survey released by the Eclipse Foundation, which oversees development of the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE), shows that 32.7 percent of respondents use Linux as their primary desktop development system, an increase of almost six points from 2009.
only appear two option, before there are many option choice, also I install android development tool, there is no item about that appear. I uninstall the eclipse and reinstall the eclipse, seem no change for this problem.
my system is under ubuntu 12.10 64bit
Unfortunately, when I open up Eclipse I get this error:
org.eclipse.ui.PartInitException: No editor descriptor for id org.eclipse.jdt.ui.CompilationUnitEditor
