Hi all,
I just downloaded 12.04 in my machine. And in the Ubuntu Software Center, on the tab for Downloads, I see "Installing Packages" (see attachment). This has been there for a very long time (more than a day). I don't see the normal cancel button on the side which I can use to cancel this download.
As a result of this, I cannot download other applications.

Hello. I need to change surf download path from ~/ to ~/Downloads, for example.
I just need another pair of eyes to go over this script, because I don't really know what I'm doing, and something seems to have changed since an upgrade ago.
The error I get when I run the script is:
rsync: link_stat "/home/james/Downloads/minecraft/world_storage/\#015" failed: No such file or directory (2)
When I look at the directory structure, it seems correct.

Hey guys..
This problem is troubling me for over a week now.
I was downloading a small pdf file from my gmail app. The file didnt download and the notification continues to show and this "continuous" downloading eats up my battery completely. The file is not showing in my downloads folder/app that comes in my Galaxy S2.
Hi, I'm new, I just got my Galaxy SIII yesterday. I am having a hard time downloading apps? My phone told me that the apps I already had downloaded needed updates, so I just hit update all. A few went through, and all the other downloads were just pending. So I backed out of the window and went to the market place and tried downloading some more apps, but everything is just...pending.
Here's a strange little problem that's cropped up for me since I installed the XFCE desktop environment (I am running standard Ubuntu 12.04 but used the repositories to get XFCE)
As is the default, I use Thunar as my file manager. I set Nautilus as preferred file manager briefly to see if it would fix the problem, but no luck.
