I'm trying to use gnome-shell with cairo dock in ubuntu 12.04, but there is one problem, I want to have some kind of menu in cairo dock. The thing is, non of the menus I tried work in cairo dock. I tried mintmenu, gnomenu, cardapio, all of them show up in cairo dock, but then I press them, nothing happens. It just killing me. Thank you for your help.

1. How can one remove the default launcher on the left side?
2. When I reboot the bottom dock has to be launched from the side panel?
3. Can I add Dash Home to the bottom dock?

Hi I want to run cairo dock, and it did run at first but then I tried to install a theme it will not run now, here is the terminal output.herpy@crunchbang:~$ cairo-dock

To clarify precisely what I mean, which Dock can I use by itself, no need for the Unity Shell, while still retaining the unity panel. Additionally, which Dock is the most customisable in its appearance?
