Hello, I have got ubuntu 12.04 lts on my chromeboook series 3, i have installed ubuntu restricted extras to get flash. But when i go to youtube it say i dont have it.
I typed the following command into terminal:
On one of my machines I'm running Kubuntu 12.04 (32 bit). I needed to install kubuntu-restricted-extras. I wanted to do it with Synaptic, but I couldn't figure out what deb line needed to be added to the repository list.
I just upgraded from 64 bit 10.04 to 12.04.1 and was installing some extra packages. All was fine until the terminal froze at the disclaimer screen and became unresponsive to mouse and keyboard. The "OK" to click on was not highlighted. Deletion of all Firefox add-ons did not help.
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
Whennever I try to download something from ubuntu software center I always get and erro with the title "Requires installation of untrusted packages" and the subtitle "This requires installing packages from unauthenticated sources."
I installed Mozilla Firefox beta 9 and the Mozilla flash plugin as a .tar.gz file. I unpacked it, installed it and now I can watch Youtube videos smoothly.
But I want to play mp3 codecs and other restricted stuff on my laptop. Should I uninstall the flash plugin for Mozilla Firefox or just install the ubuntu-restricted-extras package (which contains everything I need)?
