Hello
I have a dual monitor resolution question.
I have a Geforce gt640 video card hooked to two acer p221w monitors using dvi cables. When I go into system settings/displays, one monitor is labelled correctly and the other is labelled unknown . Also, the one labelled correctly has a resolution of 1280X1024 which is fine, but the unknown one has a resolution of 800x600. This is not ok.
Hi,
I'm using dual monitor on Ubuntu 12.10. Both monitor had same brand and type, the only difference is one using DVI cable and others using RGB. The DVI Monitor resolution are 1280x1024 and the other monitor are 1024x768. How I could change the resolution of my RGB monitor to be the same as DVI monitor.
Hello
Firstly, sorry for my bad english.
I recently installed Backtrack 5 R2 GNOME 64bits in my hard disk and I have a problem with the screen resolution.
My laptop is an ASUS N53SN with a Nvidia graphic card (Nvidia Geforce GT 550M CUDA 2GB).
The problem is that Backtrack doesn't recognize my real screen resolution, 1920x1080 in Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS but I only have three option in
I have a Dell Inspiron 4000, 900 Mhz Pentium III, 192 MB RAM,10.1 GB disk running Lubuntu 12.04. When I start the computer, and I check the display resolution, Monitor Settings claims that the max resolution is 1024x768.
hi,
I recently installed 12.04 on a desktop after i got an internal hard drive for it and I'm only getting 1024x768. When i had it previously installed on an external hard drive via a usb docking station i was getting 1280x1024.
I know the monitor does 1280x1024 because i looked it up on the manufacturers website
it's an acer flat panel model # AL1711.
I've just re-installed 10.04 64 bit.
I installed the 'recommended' NVidia drivers and now have two screens working, but after the second screen lit up the first screen has gone to a different and lower resolution. The original 1280x1024 has dropped to 1024x768 and that is the maximum resolution available on that screen. The other is at 1280x1024.
I have a Compaq 5645LA computer. When I was using Ubuntu v11.04 with Nvidia 96 propietary drivers, my Compaq FS740 CRT display resolution was 1280 x 1024 pixels. Today I upgrade to Ubuntu v11.10.
He there I posted earlier about a resolution issue on my laptop, while I'm tinkering with that, I've tossed 11.2 on a desktop I've got laying around.
I've got a different issue with this one, so I figured I'd start i new thread.
Yes, yes, 8.04 is old school. I've installed it for nostalgic purposes. Anyway...
I'm currently running on an nVidia GeForce GTS 450. I have a 1080p display and my highest supported resolution is 1280x1024. and 74hz refresh. Something about the letterbox look is really hurting my eyes. I'm not really sure where to begin. It's been a long time since I've used Ubuntu... Any help will do!
