I recently purchased a new Toshiba laptop and a Logitech M510 cordless
mouse. I am running Mint 13 on the laptop.
Initially (at least once) the mouse worked fine. Then it ceased to work.
I've seached around on various fora and found reports of similar problems
and various suggested solutions.

I started ubuntu and my mouse isn't working. Even in log in screen. If I shake my mouse all the time while booting then my mouse will work.
I think the mouse peripheral hasn't been detected and that's why mouse isn't working.
So is there any way to fix this problem
OR
Can I refresh peripherals by using a command in Terminal ?
Hi.From good few weeks I have problem with my usb mouse (ASUS mouse). When I'm using mouse is working fine but when living my pc for 2-3 minutes without touching it than my usb mouse is dissconnected (freezing) [in that time touchpad is working fine] and to use it again have to unplug and plug again...this is dmesg after that happend:[ 24.642357] EXT4-fs (sda3): re-mounted.
My bluetooth mouse (Dell BT Mouse) was working fine in Ubuntu after installing the OS. I just followed the gui prompts to connect it.
Then, after some time (right around the time I paired the same mouse with the windows OS installed on the same machine), the BT mouse stopped working. I tried again and again to pair it and it failed.
Dear friends:
I have learned a lot on these forums, thanks to all your postings.
I have a Sony Vaio VPCSA laptop with 8-gigs of RAM. I installed 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and it is working extremly well.
Hello
I've downloaded the fedora lxde spin and wanted to install the ATI drivers so I follwed some guides and started by doing a yum update kernel, however it seemed that after the update (after rebooting in the new kernel) my wired usb mouse would stop working. If I uplug it and replug it in either the same or a different usb port it will work again for something between 2 and 20 seconds.
Hello,
I have encountered a strange issue on a fedora 17
After a while (1 or 2 min max), the mouse stops working. I check the error log messages and I'm getting this : " usb 3-3: USB disconnect, device number 3"
I also tried to unplug the mouse and plug it in again but the mouse still not responds.
I also tried to plug the mouse to another usb port.
Thank you in advance
I bought a wireless mouse on ebay (Optical RF 2.4GHz Wireless Mouse with RF USB Receiver) but it won't work on my Dell PC running Ubuntu 11.04 (Lubuntu).
I tested the mouse on Windows and it works fine.
When I re-checked the item description it says the mouse is for Windows, no mention of Linux.
Is there any way to get this mouse working on my PC?
This is the exact mouse I bought: http://cgi.
