Hello everyone :)
I have sound issues with my hp dv6 Ubuntu12.04 laptop.
I tested it with : Speakers, bose oe2 headphone, apple headphone, cheap headphone from airlines company.
The first issue is that when i play a song on speaker (beats audio) the volume is really much lower than on windows.
Hi,
This post is gonna get the Ubuntu know-alls bamboozled, I'm sure.
I have had recurrent sound problems with my Dell Inspiron 1440 with Dual boot of Windows Vista and Ubuntu Jaunty.
I have a very odd problem that I am assuming has something to do with how 9.10 is accessing and controlling my sound card.
I have a dual boot system between XP serv pack 2 and 9.10 Karmic.
*IF* I have muted the speaker when operating on the XP side, when I boot Ubuntu, I ONLY have sound coming from my headphone jack.
Hi,
I have a laptop with onboard speakers and a headphone jack.
If you use the headphone jack the onboard speakers stop.
This is good because my onboard speakers are broken so i plug my headphones into the headphone jack and i still have sound :D
Hi i have just install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32bit on my computer but i am having a bit of problem with sound. The sound is coming through my internal laptop speakers but when i connect my 2.1 speakers or headphone to 3.5mm jack nothing can be hear on my 2.1 speakers.
Hi, I'm using a Dell E6500 with a PR02X port replicator and a 2.1 external speakers.
With the laptop docked, sound comes from both the external and internal speakers.
I bought an Asus Xonar U1 external soundcard when I was running Windows Vista.
I installed UBuntu a couple of months ago and sound "works" - meaning that I hear music when I'm supposed to hear it.
However, the sound is disappointingly thin compared to what I was getting with Vista.
I need to restrict users so that they cannot output sound from built-in speakers. They should plug their headphones to hear any sound. They should be able to control headphone volume level, but not built-in speakers.
I need a command-line solution for automation purposes.
Is this possible (on Ubuntu 12.04)?
I just installed ubuntu. things seems great but I have no sound. When I go to the settings menu I chose from various setup. I found one that work which had 4 speakers a subwofer and a front speaker. When I test it the sound works fine. However, when I try playing an *.mp3 file or try to watch a video on you tube I get no sound at all.
