Have 3 servers - web server, mail server and outbound-only email server. The outbound-only email server sends transaction based emails on behalf of the web server (password reset, contact us, etc.)
How should I set up the DNS to improve email deliverability for the outbound-only email server.
I've got an Ubuntu server with the hostname node1.mydomain.com. I have mydomain.com set up with Google Apps for email, and mail sent to node1.mydomain.com arrives in the correct Google Apps mailbox. However, mail sent from this server through sendmail (by cron, php, or whatever else) to node1.mydomain.com only gets delivered locally to the user's mailbox, and isn't sent out over SMTP.
In Thunderbird there is an option to Manage Identities which you can tell Thunderbird to use more than one identity per mail account.
I set up a server with Postfix/Dovecot on Linode/Ubuntu 10.04 according to this guide, admittedly I've never done this before.
I'm trying to locate an email account, which is auto forwarding to a third party email address, on a Mac Mail server. I have checked Workgroup Manager and check each accounts mail settings but I can't find any account which has the email address or is forwarded to the third party address.

Hi,
Hoping someone can help me configure this.
I have assigned a dedicated IP and setup a DNS for mail.domain.com to the dedicated IP address.
Now mail.domain.com is used to send email (SMTP). However, when I look at the headers of the received email, it is the domain and IP address of my primary reseller domain.
I want the IP address and domain to be sent from mail.domain.com in the headers.
I have configured postfix, courier on EC2 which is having Ubuntu 12.
The necessary port's are opened SMTP, IMAP, POP3.
Installed and configured postfixadmin. Added domain and some mail boxes.
I am able to send mail from that admin panel to any email address.
But not able to log in to any email account using outlook. It gives can't established secured, unsecured connection error.
I'm sending email from a server, let's say domain.com.
I also have Google Apps email set up for hosted email, same domain, domain.com.
If I get mail sent to me from anywhere else, I receive things just fine.
