http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello again, well someway or another my wireless problem was fixed back in July, but I still cannot connect to the internet wirelessly. Every time I try to get on Firefox on Ubuntu 10.04(Lucid Lynx) 32-bit. My laptop simply won't connect even though I have a physical wireless connection. Is there something that I am not doing correctly to establish the connection to Firefox? In a little simpler terms... I cannot "surf the web" in Ubuntu, while in Windows Xp, I can. Your help is very much appreciated :). (HowTos)

Hi. This is an old problem for me, but apparently insolveable. Thought I'd try again, maybe someone here can help.

I cannot use the wireless internet connection in my house. My computer sees the connection. It is ChinaNet-zbgJ. The password is xutuhamh

The router is brand new, installed yesterday. The internet provider upgraded me and made the connection a bit faster.

I am running Ubuntu 11.04 on my laptop and I use a 3G USB modem for my Internet connection.

I wanted to share this Internet connection with my girlfriend's laptop that is running Window XP. Basically, I created the the wireless connection on my laptop and now it just connects and disconnects all the time. Why is it doing this?

Hello all, my name is John and I am currently living in china but I'm from Virginia, I have just installed Ubuntu on my HP laptop and I am having a problem with the internet connection. At work there is a wireless connection that the computer will connect to with no problem but at home i have a Modem/Wireless route unit I'm guessing that's called a mini PPPOE?

Hello everyone and thanks for checking in on my problem. This has been annoying me for weeks - ever since I updated to Lucid Lynx. As I was using the upgrade to check out other distributions, I happened to find out it happens with Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit), Kubuntu (32-bit) and Ubuntu (64-bit, my current system).

I have just installed a squeaky-clean new version of Ubuntu 10.04.1 on a fresh, empty hard drive. No adjustments have been done.

I have a Livebox-1808 for my sins and the wireless adapter (Instantly detected) found the signal. Ubuntu would not connect directly (defaults to WAP I think) so I had to do a manual install (Activate pairing, enter WEP key).

My scenario is that a friends advent laptop would not connect to his wireless connection with the Ubuntu 9.10 I had installed on it for him. I went to have a look and it would not work and ended up bringing it home with me so I take bit more time over solving the problem.
