http://ubuntuforums.org – i don't know if is it possible ? I have 2 computers one is connected directly to internet with a classic rj45 cable. it has a usb wireless dongle too (ralink) the second has a usb wireless dongle but no network card. is it possible to connect the second computer to internet through the first ? (second computer connect to the first computer through wireless and through it to internet) infact in first computer share internet with usb dongle. thank you guys :smile: (HowTos)

I connect to the internet via mobile GPRS dongle, which works fine. I've also created my own ad hoc wireless network to get the local machines to talk to each other, which also works fine. However I can't connect to both items at the same time.

I am completely new to all UNIX-based operating systems, and installed Ubuntu 9.04 a few days ago. Naturally one of the first things I wanted to do was to connect it to the internet (from what I gather an internet connection is integral to using linux), and to connect it to the internet I needed to connect it to my home wireless network.

Lately i've install ubuntu inside my windows vista, and i've been using a wireless dongle for a long time, how can i connect to wireless network using a wireless dongle in ubuntu? i've connected the dongle to my pc but unfortunately it doesn't pop out anything, like it doesn't exist at all. can anyone please help me out?

I installed ubuntu 12.04 on a HP pavilion G4 series laptop longside windows 7.

I am not able to connect to internet via aircel 3G usb dongle.

I tried editing network connection still not able to connect to internet.

apart from that while installing ubuntu certain firmware updates we needed and I skipped that step since I couldn't connect to the internet.

I have installed the diver that comes along with dongle E303c and even re-installed 'usb-modeswitch' package. I am able to connect to the 3G network but cannot access internet.
