We need to shut down MS Failover Cluster running on two nodes with MS Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise for hardware maintenance.
I recently came across two possible approaches on how to shut down the cluster:

I am working with a Sun StoredgeTek 6540 disk array connected to two Sun 490 servers. After taking one of the 490 nodes on the cluster down to single user mode I proceeded to install the latest cluster patch from Oracle. After the patch was completed the system rebooted, failed to rejoin the cluster, crashdumped and rebooted continuously.
Background / Goal
I have a VMWare HA cluster for production Machines with two hosts.
It is currently set up so that it can account for the failure of up to one host. It does not use DRS.
I need to remediate both of these servers to apply patches.
I am experiencing a strange Windows 2008R2 cluster related issue that is bothering me. I feel that I have come close as to what the issue is, but still don't fully understand what is happening.
I have a two node exchange 2007 cluster running on two 2008R2 servers.
I've just set up a new server within the same dns cluster and had an interesting occurance.
I've got 2 servers (srv04 and srv05) set up within the same dns cluster. Both servers have 2 nameservers (srv05 has ns1 and ns5) and (and srv04 has ns2 and ns6). The reason for this is that I recently retired srv01 and transfered all the sites to the current servers which previously had ns1 and ns2.

Hello Experts,
Please help me with the exact steps on configuring two node cluster on RHEL 6.2,
I failed to configure the simplest cluster by below steps,
1- install RHEL 6.2 64-bit on both nodes
2- add to hosts file of each server ( 1 IP in local NW and another in IP private NW).
x.x.x.x node1-pub
z.z.z.z node2-pub
y.y.y.y node1-pvt
t.t.t.t node2-pvt
3- yum install ricci ( on both nodes )
