Hello friends,
In my evolution, I have set date and time format as %d/%m/%Y %H:%M; but in all parts of it, like appointments and birthdays, its coming like 12/20/2012....any idea?
i am using evolution 3.4.4 in fedora 17
Pre-amble:
fresh install of 12.04; old evolution files available.
First question:
As Ubuntu seems to be abandoning Evolution, I assume they have a tool to import evolution files/folders into thunderbird. What is it called in the repos? And no, I'm not looking for the 'complicated' ways.
Second question:
Can one user use thunderbird as his/her email client and another user evolution?
Currently the time portion of indicator applet complete in my Gnome panel, in Gnome-Classic, is not showing the date. There are no obvious settings interface in which to enable the date to be shown.
My Evolution email client keeps forgetting all settings after a reboot or even a logout/login! Please help!
I have recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 on a new laptop. To move my Evolution settings and email over to the new machine, I selected "backup", which creates a single tar.gz archive of all Evolution settings and mail.
Hello.
Ubuntu dropped non-PAE kernel support so I had to switch to Arch on my wife's laptop. I did a very thorough backup including 'evolution'. The backup cannot be imported (without any error though). I suspect a version incompatibility.
My question is: What version of evolution comes with an up-to-date 12.04 lubuntu installation?
I've upgraded from ubuntu netbook remix something to 12.04 lts, and I've got two issues. (Got an Asus eeePc 32bits, Intel 945GME x86/MMX/SSE2 and Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.6Ghz x2)
Nothing in the dash. Only the "home" tab, other tabs are missing. No search result whatsoever.
Missing elements in the system panel, privacy and date&time.
Today at the Ubuntu Developer Summit, there was a discussion on which application should be shipped as the default email client with Ubuntu 11.10. So far Ubuntu has been shipping with Evolution as the default email client. Of late, there has been a growing number of people who are not pleased with Evolution and instead asking for Ubuntu to ship with Thunderbird.
I have a spreadsheet (or csv file, or other equivalent) with some holidays (to give an example) in it.
I have three columns: date, short description and long description.
I want to import this data into Evolution calendar.
How can I do it?
