Hi all,
Ubuntu 12.04 desktop 64bit
Just installed Chrome after removing Firefox which crashes continuously after start. But I couldn't figure out how to make top tags on Chrome larger (please refers to attached screenshot).
Please advise how to config it on Chrome OR on Ubuntu?
I am facing some serious web page rendering issues with Chrome.
It is more prominent during javascript based animations and stuff on websites like youtube.
I have tried removing chrome using (sudo apt-get purge google-chrome-stable) and then reinstalling it. But the problems still persist.
The same webpages work correctly on firefox on ubuntu and chrome on windows.
I've seen this in another thread but then the poster wanted to know how to remnove Chrome while I'd rather have it work. Here's the deal:
Wanted to try out Chrome over Chromium, see if it's any faster
Downloaded the 64-bit .deb from the Google website
Uninstalled Chromium, just to make sure there'd be no crossover
Double-clicked the .deb and Chrome installed itself through Software Center.
From Last day I found this problem on my google chrome in Fedora 18. I tried to reinstall google chrome but didn't worked. But I found a solution. By disabling libpepflashplayer.so it worked.
Simply I did
Open google chrome
enter in the address bar
Code:
chrome://plugins/
search the libpepflashplayer.so and disable it. And it worked.
I'm attaching a screen shot of it.
I followed the guide at the following url: Cannot Install Google Chrome. How do I fix it?
Despite that I still have an error:
alex@ubuntu:~/Downloads$ sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb
Selecting previously unselected package google-chrome-stable.

My google chrome profile is all screwed up.
Start page can not load
Browsing history cant load
Chrome is randomly locking up
I get multiple chrome icons in the notification area, sometimes 2 or 3 even with only one window open.
I am sure there is more.
I backed up my bookmarks with xmarks
I did a remove with synaptic complete, but when I reinstalled, all the problems are still there.
Hi Folks,
I have kind of an odd situation. Fresh install of Ubuntu with a Chrome download from google.com/chrome. My webcam's activity light keeps flickering when Chrome is running. Chrome is also very slow No extensions other than Lastpass and Xmarks. I've never seen Chrome do this before. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan
I'm not sure what's happened, but Chrome and KDE Wallet are not getting along. Basically, I get a KDS Wallet popup in Chrome every 30 seconds or so. It's insane. I even tried removing my entire .kde directory and .cache/google-chrome/, and .config/google-chrome and starting over
No luck. It's driving me insane.
