I managed to install Ubuntu 9.04 - the Jaunty Jackalope on my laptop and so far all has been well and really enjoying the linux experience. The only thing I can't do is get the card reader working on my laptop. When I insert a card nothing happens. I am using a XD card in the card reader.
and thank you all for giving time to try to help
I have an internal card reader in my HP Pavilion DV6-6155ca and the card reader is a "multi-card media reader" (I know this means nothing but trying to be though) and the device is the RTS5209 PCI Express Card Reader. I am running ubuntu 12.10
I have just bought a Toshiba Satellite P850. Before that I used my mother's in law laptop (since I didn't have any at the time) and installed Wubi on original Vista (I hate Vista, fyi). Since then, I love Ubuntu!! Now that I've got my own laptop, that came with Win7 Home Premium installed, I am so confused to choose between Ubuntu or Win7.
bluetooth doesn't work on my toshiba satellite u400, i want to connect my phone, also my card reader didn't work on ubuntu 9.10 so how can i connect my phone? bluetooth? card reader? drivers? (anyway, i need bluetooth and card reader both)
Hi everybody, I have an Asus K53SC laptop, I have installed Fedora 19 like a month ago and all was working perfectly until the kernel update 3.10 since that day, mi SD card reader doesn't work anymore.
My SD Card Reader model is: Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
Ubuntu on Toshiba Satellite L650-BT2N23
I am new to Ubuntu and was given a Toshiba Satellite L650-BT2N23 that I was hoping to use Ubuntu on. I installed 10.10 but wifi, the integrated intel graphics, and the SD card reader don't seem to work.
First I need to get wifi working; from looking around the forums I tried booting from a livecd, but no wifi card seen.
