Hey there, I currently have 2 nVidia 560's which are both dual monitor. As some of you might know, it seems the only way to run a 4 monitor setup is to run each pair of monitors as their own Twinview, then stitch them together using xinerama. This basically creates two large "screens" that each span two monitors. Unfortunately, xinerama is very old and outdated.
Graphics Card: NVidia 460 GTX.
Driver: NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version current)
I have one DVI monitor, an old Dell LCD from 2005, and one VGA monitor, an Asus ML238H from 2010 whose HDMI port broke. The Asus is plugged into my graphics card's primary monitor slot and is the better monitor even though it is VGA but my computer defaults to the Dell.

I want to install Ubuntu on my PC, to dual boot alongside my Win 7 partition.
This is not specifically Arch related, but maybe someone can help me with this anyway...My problem is that when I boot up with both monitors plugged in, the BIOS uses the VGA one as primary, then in any OS I can't detect the second monitor hanging on the DVI port in any way, it seems that its like "invisible", like it hasn't been activated by the BIOS or something...When I boot
I have 2 monitors, both are Dell UltraSharp U2312HM. I was previously using both as an extended desktop in Windows 7, and it was working great. Well, except the windows part... but that's another story.
I am running kubuntu 13.04 64-bit, and my secondary monitor is not working at all. It is "on" but only black.

Hello, I am very interested in getting a quad monitor setup using Ubuntu 12.04. Is this possible with Unity? Will Nvidia X Server automatically detect and configure all 4 monitors making things easy?
I have dug up some bits and pieces of information here and there but don't know what to make of everything.
