two issues when using the fglrx driver:
when i move to the propriety fglrx driver, unity does not load the side bar. the login screen loads (with top bar displayed), but when logging in, the unity side bar does not load. i can right click the desktop and create new folders.
I had some broken package problems, and had to reinstall ubuntu-desktop, libqtgui4 and some other system packages.
This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but happens probably 50-75%.
The issue is whenever I right-click on an icon on my Unity panel, it causes the entire desktop to freeze. The right-click menu applet (you know where it says "unlock from launcher, etc.") stays on the screen and will not go away. I can still move the mouse around, but my keyboard becomes non-functional.

I'm stuck when it tells me to go to "System -> Administration". I have Unity desktop - maybe that's not written for Unity desktop -
I can find the System Settings OK but there's no "Administration" and no "Drivers"...
