I have a fresh install of Mythbuntu 12.04.01
I download and installed the Canon drivers from the Canon website:
UFR II Printer Driver for Linux Version 2.50
I used the procedure at this location:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...78&postcount=8
When I print documents, I see them show up in the print queue.
Toshiba Laptop L350-S5933, Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400 @2.16 GHz, Ram 3.o GB, ACPI x86 32 bit OpSys, Canon MP560, Dual Boot installed Karmic (Vista other OS), Canon is logged into wireless network using Actiontec.
Ubuntu shows the printer as the default printer. Listed as
Make & Model: Canon Pixma MP500 - cups+ Gutenprint v5.4
All right, this is driving me nuts.
I have an HP Color LaserJet cm1312nfi connected to the ethernet jack on a D-Link DPR-1260 wireless usb print server - so the print server acts as a wireless bridge. I can't get any Ubuntu box to print to the LaserJet. Windows XP and Vista laptops on the network print to it just fine.
I have been unable to print to an HP Deskjet D2660 that I have connected to my Mac ever since I started using the 64 bit Ubuntu (starting with Natty, IIRC). Previously, this printer worked just fine with 32 bit Ubuntu versions.
The Mac is running OS X 10.7.5 'Lion' and the current HP drivers from Apple are installed.
My inkjet will not print in colour, after clean install of 12.10
Previous installation of 12.04 worked fine.
I operate a dual boot notebook. Under windows, colour works fine, and print head nozzles have been tested and are clear
I have MP145 on my LAN with openSUSE 11.2 as the OS both on client and print server. I manage to print and using scanner on my print server but failed to print from my client, although test print page on CUPS web interface is working well. FYI i'm using driver from canon asia for this printer.
I have a windows 7 machine with a Canon MG5250 connected via USB. It is shared on the network. I have my Ubuntu 11.10 machine on the network also, which I want to print from.
I got as far as browsing the network, finding the printer, adding it, printing to it and Ubuntu reports a successful print.
I'm having trouble with my HP Laserjet 1020. I'm running Karmic beta, but had the same problem under Jaunty...
If I plug the printer in, it seems to install fine. It uses the Foomatic driver. To print, I have to uncheck "sharing".
the printer happily outputs test page accurately but I cannot get disk print to function at all. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Current driver version is Canon IP4800 Canon iP4800 series Ver.3.40
