I am desperately trying to install my Canon LBP 2900B Laser Printer on Ubuntu 12.04... I've gone through https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CanonCaptDrv190 but had no success... Actually the file "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-cups-usblp.conf" is missing in my system... and the folder usb in "/dev"...
I recently installed Ubuntu 14. Its working well except the printer. I have canon LBP2900b printer. I searched for the solution and got driver for 2900 and installed it. Its showing the printer icon with green tick. Until that everything seems fine but things changed when i started to print! :D . The printer job always showing pending. What should i do?
Thanks in advance
I have a Canon i-sensys MF4410 laser printer. I am running a dual boot system with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04. The printer works in Windows and Ubuntu sees it when I attempt to add a new printer but I cannot get it to work in Ubuntu.
Respected and experienced folks,
A bit of research on the net tells me to "install" Synaptic Package Manager from the Ubuntu Software Center to the above mentioned Linux Mint version! If it helps, this is the website that i visited: http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2013/07/canon-drivers-for-ubuntu-and....
