I have a fresh install of Mythbuntu 12.04.01
I download and installed the Canon drivers from the Canon website:
UFR II Printer Driver for Linux Version 2.50
I used the procedure at this location:

When I print documents, I see them show up in the print queue.
Download the driver of Canon Pixma iP2700 for Ubuntu from the link we provided below this post. This is .deb package for Ubuntu 9.10 and later. Canon Pixma iP2700 featuring a compact design.
i/m using ubuntu 9.10 and gnome desktop installed my canon printer which lists the driver as bj-5 it/s ticked and recognised but won/t print a test page and when igo into why it just gives back no result can any one give me the correct drivers for this model as bj-5 don/t work
Recently this model printer was moved to the paperweight section of the linux printer database, well this was a correct move for (new Installs of 11.2 ) but , there is a way around this if you have one of these printers and they are great for basic printing in linux.
this is not the best way to save a printer but it worked for me and i did not have to go out and replace two printers.
Hello.
My printer has suddenly stopped working correctly, printing starts but paper stops half way through, although a message continues to say Printing from PC. This is the printer setting usb://Canon/MP610%20series?serial=491CED&interface=1. I tried printing a test page but this did not work.
I have wubi dual boot with Windows 7.
I can't configure the printer using the drivers provided in the website.
I've tried all the drivers from the website, but they just dont work. They do not install or launch at all. I have the Canon MX310, and it works fine with Windows but not with Precise.
I recently got a Canon MF3010 laser printer and am unable to print after installing the drivers. I'm on Ubuntu 12.10, 64bit.
I followed the below post but am not able to print a test page.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2089269
After trying to print a test page, the Printer State in the Printer dialog says "Idle - Sending data to printer." Any idea?
Here is the updated drivers for Canon MP990 XPS wireless series. This is the driver version 5.30b for Canon MP990 XPS All in one Printer for Windows Vista and Windows 7. If you have older version, please update your printer driver using this 5.30b version.
I am trying to set up a Canon ImageCLASS D340 printer connected via usb to an Ubuntu 12.10 computer. I was unable to find any ubuntu or linux drivers for it, but I do have the current windows drivers. I tried using ndiswrapper to add a .inf file from the windows driver, but it did not work. I am completely new with using windows drivers on ubuntu, so I do not really know what to do.
