[ubuntu] Cannot View all of my Android files

http://ubuntuforums.org – I am using 12.10 Gnome Remix, and I am using a ICS device which has no option for mass storage. Instead it's a MTP device (Galaxy Reverb). I can view some of the files on my SD card from a file manager in Ubuntu. When I try to connect to the device via terminal I get the following output: mtpfs -o allow_other /media/MOUNTPOINT Listing raw device(s) Device 0 (VID=04e8 and PID=6860) is a Samsung GT P7310/P7510/N7000/I9070/I9100/I9300 Galaxy Tab 7.7/10.1/S2/S3/Nexus/Note/Y. Sad day when the girlfriends iPhone mounts right up in 12.04 and the Android needs me to jump through flaming hoops.

I'm trying to get MTP with the galaxy tab 2 7.0 working on my ubuntu installation. Such that I can access the files.

The Samsung Galaxy s3 android phone uses MTP or PTP for data transfer.

I am using Fedora 17 with KDE.

I Plug my gs3 into my laptop, and nothing happens. I went to terminal, typed "lsusb" command, and the return print was, for one of the usb ports, "Bus 002 Device 015: ID 04e8:6860 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd GT-I9100 Phone [Galaxy S II], GT-P7500 [Galaxy Tab 10.1]". My device is neither the S2 or the Galaxy tab. Any ideas on how to get this working?

Hello. I recently used the "lsusb" command with my Galaxy Note 2 plugged in my pc. It showed up as a Galaxy S II. I've been trying to add files to the ext sd card with Nautilus, FileZilla or some other means. Nautilus will show the top level directories on the sd card, but won't show anything under them, when the sd card is installed in the phone.

I'm trying to find a way to transfer files from my Ubuntu 12.10 system to my Nexus 4, which wants to use MTP.

My galaxy nexus(gsm) work properly when I used to connect it with the usb cord to the pc.....I could transfer files n all was working properly.....suddenly it stopped recognizing my device....I can charge my fone normally but can't use mass storage....

Already tried... Changing usb chords.... Trying it on other pcs.... Resetting the device.... Please help me.....!!
