[ubuntu] Cannot see option to configure wi-fi on 12.04

view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Im on a desktop computer on a dual boot configuration (XP and Ubuntu 12.04) and purchased a USB Dlink DWA 121 wireless adapter. It was working on Ubuntu, but stopped working all together. As a matter of fact I dont even see the option now enable/disable wireless networks or connect to wireless networks in the top right corner. I tried switching usb ports but that did nothing. I know the adapter works fine on Windows on the same machine. Kinda lost at this point. I know some people see the option to enable wireless but its greyed out, but in my case I dont see anything period. And wlan (Hardware)
