[ubuntu] Cannot install ubuntu 12.10 on Eeepc 1025 Flare series

http://ubuntuforums.org – I just buy an eeepc 1025 Flare series and wanna install ubuntu 12.10 on it, but after installation all i have just a black screen with text and can't log in to my desktop, is there something wrong with ceddar trail ??? need ur help :confused: (Hardware)

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 12.10 on a Asus Eee PC "flare series" from a USB key made with LiLi (Linux Live USB creator). The installation process seems to work fine until it asks to reboot the netbook. Then, it only displays a black screen with a blinking white "_" with no possible interaction. I've tried to run it in live-disk mode from the USB key, with exactly the same result.

I have tried Ubuntu 12.04.1 in an Asus EeePc t91mt; In live Cd mode it works fine (touch screen, wifi, bluetooth,..), but when I installed it and restarted the screen stay black and nothing happen(it could be the video card driver). But i do not understand why in the liveCd mode it works and it does not work when I install it. Somebody can help me? Thanks.

I wanted to ask this: I have an eeePC 901, which has two ssd drives, the main one is 4GB and the second one is 16GB, is there a way to install ubuntu 12.04 on it using the two drives as if it was a single 20GB drive?

I have two laptops. They are: Thinkpad T400 and ASUS eeePC 1015PX. I would like to install Fedora F16 on USB disk - 500Gb and boot from this disk on both systems. So the strange thing is: I installed F16 on USB disk using Thinkpad. It works on TP, but does not boot on ASUS laptop. OK.

I have Windows 8 installed. My processor is an Intel Core2 Duo. I bought an Ubuntu 12.10 CD from Amazon just to make the install easy and repeatable. But when I tried to install it booting up from the CD, it gave me options of installing from two different images, either UBUNTU-12.10-DESKTOP-I386.ISO or UBUNTU-12.10-DESKTOP-AMD64.ISO.
